The Sun & Sand Mining & Mineral Resources (UK) Ltd, headquartered at London with the help of consistent efforts over the three decades has contributed to the successful establishment of its capabilities across three continents. Through various subsidiaries, its foothold spans across UK, Canada, India, Nigeria, Guinea, Guyana and Uganda. The Group began its journey in Nigeria with making ferrous and non-ferrous ingots, widely used in the automobile industry, and became the first in Africa to supply to Toyota, Rolls Royce, Honda and Nissan. Since then, through strategic global acquisitions and partnerships the group has branched out into acquiring assets of gold, copper and uranium, and has become a member of the London Metal Exchange.
The Sun and Sand journey, started by its founder and chairman – Mr. Rajesh Ram Satiija as an individual entrepreneur in 1993, currently employs 6,000 people around the globe that work closely with local communities and help in their development. The Groups diversified portfolio of interests in Africa and India is driven by a sustainable development approach in every aspect. Besides mining, the group has diversified interest in manufacturing, trading, real estate, orchids and corporate farming.
